We stayed at the Elks Lodge in Cameron MO so Patricia could go get her quilting fix in Hamilton MO, home of Missouri Star Quilting. We were planning on heading to Des Moines IA on Monday, but the weather forecast in the Des Moines area was looking a little iffy so we decided to stay put for another day. SO GLAD WE DID. Iowa was hit with severe weather and tornados leveled a small town just west of where we were going to be staying. Whew!
We headed to our Des Moines destination, Acorn Valley Recreation Area, on Wed. and had a nice short travel day. This is a beautiful, well maintained, campground just north of Des Moines.
We stopped here to visit our fields Aaron & Jane and will be heading to Sioux Falls SD first thing Thursday morning.
